Ben and Jerry's Foundation National Grassroots Grant Program Deadline: Ongoing Through the National Grassroots Grant Program, Ben & Jerry's Foundations supports nonprofit community organizations throughout the United States that bring about progressive social change by addressing the underlying conditions of societal and environmental problems. The broad goals of the program are to further social justice, protect the environment, and support sustainable food systems. Grants of up to $15,000 are provided to grassroots, constituent-led organizations that are using community organizing strategies to accomplish their goals as well as organizations that provide technical support and/or resources to such groups. The Foundation does not make grants to support social service programs. Letters of interest may be submitted at any time.

Best Buy Community Grants Deadline: July 1 Through the Community Grants program, Best Buy teams across the United States select non-profit organizations that give teens access to opportunities through technology to help them excel in school and develop 21st century skills. This year, the Best Buy Children's Foundation will give $2.8 million in Community Grants. Grant amounts will average $4,000 - $6,000 and will not exceed $10,000. Best Buy seeks applications from 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and public agencies that have tax-exempt status. Location must be with 50 miles of a Best Buy store or other Best Buy center of operations (e.g., corporate headquarters) to allow for Best Buy employee volunteers.
Best Buy: Teach @15 Award Deadline: Ongoing
The Teach@15 Award program improves classroom learning by helping schools (grades 7-12) meet technology needs. A teen member (age 13-18) who is a registered member on www.at15.com can nominate his/her school to win a Teach@15 Award. Maximum Award: $1,500 in the form of Best Buy Gift Cards. The Bonner Foundation awards approximately 1,500 students annually who are actively engaged in community service and demonstrate a history of responsibility and good citizenship. Congressional Awards
The Congressional Award is a public private partnership created by Congress to promote and recognize achievement, initiative, and service in America's youth. The Congressional Award provides a unique opportunity for young people to set and achieve personally challenging goals that build character and foster community service, personal development, and citizenship.

FedEx Grant Opportunities 
Get Ur Good On Grants Deadline: May 27 If you're ready to make a positive impact in your community, Miley Cyrus and her friends at YSA want to help! With $500 Get Ur Good On Grants, you'll have the inspiration, project support, and necessary funding to turn your idea into a reality. Kids and young adults ages 5-25 worldwide are eligible to apply for a $500 Get Ur Good On Grant to support youth-led projects. Projects must address a demonstrated community need or issue, and must take place during June, July and/or August 2012.

Home Baking Association's Rewards for Baking Educator Award Each year, the Home Baking Association offers an award to draw national attention to an excellent home-baking education program and the benefits of baking for family, personal and professional development. As long as the baking program reaches 6- to 18-year-old U.S. children, all types of educators who actively teach baking are eligible, including: classroom family and consumer sciences teachers, extension food and nutrition specialists, community after-school program volunteers, home-schooling parents, youth who teach other youth.

Home Depot Community Impact Grants Deadline: August 13 Grants, up to $5,000, are available to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, public schools, or tax-exempt public service agencies in the U.S. that are using the power of volunteers to improve the physical health of their community. Grants are given in the form of The Home Depot gift cards for the purchase of tools, materials, or services. More competitive grant proposals will specifically identify projects for veterans and will include housing repairs, modifications, and weatherization work. Once grant applications are reviewed, all applicants will receive a written response within six weeks of receipt of a request.

Hunter Garner Scholarship Project Yellow Light High school seniors can submit a PSA that conveys the importance of teens developing and embracing safe driving habits, and focuses on not texting while driving. The winner will receive a $2,000 college scholarship.

President's Volunteer Service Awards As a Certifying Organization of the PRESIDENT’S VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD, Youth Service America distributes the PVSA to those who meet or exceed the award criteria. Established in 2003, the PVSA is given by the President of the United States and honors individuals, families and groups who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to volunteer service over the course of 12 months.

School Grants for Healthy Kids Deadline: Follow Specific Guidelines Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK) will award over 500 schools with grants, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, for the 2012 -2013 school through our School Grants for Healthy Kids program. The grants, designed to help improve school nutrition and provide kids with greater access to healthy foods, are made possible through AFHK’s partnerships with Kellogg's and the Walmart Foundation.

Starbucks Foundation The Starbucks Foundation awards grants to local nonprofit organizations that serve low income, at-risk youth between the ages of 6 and 18. These grants support innovative programs that enhance culture diversity and involve families, schools and neighborhood organizations, particularly in traditionally underserved communities. Grants are concentrated on two areas of interest: the Power of Literacy, which focuses on programs that stimulate personal development and encourage commitment to social equity, justice and environmental awareness through writing, literacy and the promotion of the voices of youth in public forums, and Leaders in Diversity, which focuses on programs that teach the value of societal diversity, with an emphasis on the development of leadership skills to build bridges of understanding between individuals, groups and communities. Preference is given to programs that offer opportunities for Starbucks employees and stores to be involved. Grants range from $5,000 to $20,000.
State Farm Good Neighbor Student Achievement Grants Deadline: May 31 State Farm™ is proud to team up with YSA to offer grants of up to $1,000 for programs enhancing student achievement through service-learning in K-12 public schools in all fifty US states, the District of Columbia, and in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Ontario and New Brunswick. Each grant engages participating teachers and students in a service and learning program that promotes academic achievement, workplace readiness, and stronger communities. The State Farm Good Neighbor Student Achievement Grant requires a 12 to 14 week Semester of Service™. Up to 15 of these grants will be reserved for projects addressing the issue of teen driver safety. Apply today! 
Wofford Awards The Harris Wofford Award, presented by Youth Service America and proudly sponsored by State Farm Companies Foundation, were established in 2002 to honor former Senator Harris Wofford, one of our nation's greatest public servants and long-time board member of Youth Service America.
